Cosmetic Fillers
Cosmetic fillers help clients achieve a more youthful appearance by restoring volume, smoothing wrinkles and facial contours.
Cosmetic fillers are commonly used to fill in eye wrinkles, plump lips, add volume to sagging cheeks, and reduce lines underneath the eyes, serving to refresh your face and reduce the visible signs that come with older age.
Our skilful cosmetic aestheticians draw on years of experience to produce natural looking results, simply sustaining your natural features.
BENEFITS OF COSMETIC FILLER
-
1. Immediate results
As cosmetic filler settles under the skin, the full effect is visible in a matter of days. Whether you're adding volume or smoothing wrinkles, this will show up within days.
-
2. Less invasive
Play it safe with cosmetic filler as non-surgical treatments are less invasive, meaning fewer risks. You don't need to worry about surgical complications, like infection or scarring.
-
3. Tailor-Made for You
Non-surgical treatments can be customised to your needs. Whether you want to address one concern or go for a full-face rejuvenation, the choice is yours.
THE PROCEDURE: WHAT TO EXPECT
FAQs
Results can be seen immediately but can take up to 4 weeks to see final results. There is no downtime and you will be able to wear makeup and return to work immediately after your appointment.
There is no downtime required and you can resume normal activities immediately. However, avoid the following for 24 hours:
- Strenuous exercise
- Consumption of alcohol
It is also recommended to avoid the following for two weeks:
- Extended exposure to sun or UV light
- Extended exposure to heat or freezing temperatures
Exposure to any of the above may cause temporary redness, swelling, and/or itching at the injection sites. We recommend using sunscreen with SPF 30 to prevent sun damage to the skin.
The injections themselves feel like a slight pinch, and you may experience slight pressure or a ‘stinging’ sensation as the product is being injected. All cosmetic filler treatments contain local anaesthetic.
Longevity depends on many factors, including the individuals skin type, skin condition, lifestyle and age as well as the type and amount of product used.
After the initial treatment, follow up sessions are normally recommended around every 6 to 12 months depending on the individual.
Cosmetic fillers are smooth injectable gels, made from a substance called Hyaluronic Acid (which naturally occurs in our skin and joints to hydrate and lubricate) that are placed beneath the skin’s surface to restore volume, reduce wrinkles and folds and erase fine lines, whilst providing the skin with volume, support and hydration.
Cosmetic filler injections are not suitable for:
- People with a known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients
- Pregnant or breastfeeding mums
- Clients under the age of 18
